Yuan Spa arrives in Bellevue

Although I’ve not been there yet, this new, Asian-inspired urban retreat in downtown Bellevue is on my radar.

It’s the Hydrotherapy Happy Hour (only $25) that caught my eye because it includes access to the Cedar Sauna Room, Eucalyptus Steam Room a Salt Scrub Bar, Hot Bathing Pool and a Cool Sea Salt Bathing Pool.  In spa-lingo, these are nice digs that few spas outside of resorts, can afford.

And there aren’t many practitioners (yet) practicing Tui-Na, an ancient Chinese massage that’s been a part of Chinese traditional medicine for thousands of years. It’s geared to pinpoint acupressure points within the body, which in turn, release the flow of ‘Qi’ (energy) and rebalances the body.  The spa also offers reflexology and other traditional eastern therapies including acupuncture, cupping, Gua Sha, and Reiki.

At the other end of the therapeutic scale, Yuan Spa offers the HydraFacial MD ™ machine, the newest advancement in non-laser skin resurfacing. There are many types of skin treatments so check out my articles first; they’ll give you the low down on what’s out there.

Happy spaaing.
